Steel renewal
Bulkheads, shell plating and structural members, cropped and renewed to class requirement — afloat or in dock.
Steel renewal is priced on tonnage and won or lost on access. The plate itself is rarely the difficulty. Staging, gas-freeing, ventilation, and getting material and crew to the frame that actually needs cutting is where the time goes, and it is the part most quotations describe least.
Corvaden surveys before quoting, and quotes against a defined tonnage and a defined set of members. Where survey opens up wastage beyond that boundary it is reported, priced and agreed before it is cut — not added to the final account afterwards. The inclusions and exclusions that apply to every quotation are published rather than kept in the small print.
Work is executed afloat wherever the structure and the class requirement allow it, and in dock where they do not.

Indicative manning and duration
A reference table, not a quotation. It opens on the 20 MT AH36 baseline drawn from a real Corvaden job and revises against a tonnage, a mode and a scope type. It states crew and duration only — a price requires a survey.
Alongside or at anchorage. Staging, ventilation and permit control govern the programme.
